Her professional
debut took place in 1995 at Tchaikovsky Philharmonic Hall at the Moscow
Autumn Music Festival as a concerto soloist with the Russian State
Symphony Cinema Orchestra (S. Skripka, conductor), in a performance
broadcast on National Television.
From 1995 to
2001, she performed in the Moscow Autumn Music Festival as both
soloist and orchestra member. Professional solo performances have
taken her to the Bolshoi, Maliy and Rachmaninoff Halls of Tchaikovsky
Moscow Conservatory, The Concert Hall of Russian Composers Union,
Tchaikovsky Philharmonic Hall, the State Academic Cappella Concert
Hall in St. Petersburg, the Tambov Philharmonic Hall. Other engagements
include concerto performances with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra
Cantus Firmus, the Tambov Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Russia,
and the South Orange Symphony Orchestra in New Jersey.
Collaborations
with composers include a tour to Southeast Russia and series of
performances at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Arts Institute
in Moscow with the renowned composer Vladislav Kazenin, Artist of
the People and President of the Russian Union of Composers. She
also recorded and premiered in the Concert Hall of the Russian Composers
Union and Concert House of Arts in Moscow several works of the distinguished
composer Yuri Chugunov, Honored Artist of Russia, who dedicated
his flute compositions to her. Annually, from 1998 to 2001, Ms.
Gilmore performed with Alexander Korneyev and harpsichordist Alexander
Maykapar in series of concerts at Bulgarian Cultural Center in Moscow.
As an orchestral
player she worked as a member of the Concert Orchestra of Radio
and Television, Moscow (1997-2001).
Ms. Gilmore
graduated with honors from Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory (Alexander
Korneyev).
In America she
continued her professional flute studies with Loren Lind (Philadelphia
Orchestra) and later had additional study with Paula Robison at
the New England Conservatory, Boston.
She has performed
in masterclasses with Jeanne Baxtresser, Trevor Wye, Sir James Galway,
Michael Parloff, Gary Schocker, Paula Robison, Ransom Wilson and
András Adorján.
